M/V Uto - Work done at Conversion and Refit

UTO

UTO has been totally rebuilt to a private (Exploration) Yacht.
This is a list of major thing that are done.
All work done in Shipyards in Northern Germany

Main things

New mast for all antennas and to make monkey deck useful as sun and observation deck.
All water and sewer systems new
All portholes in lower deck new
New sewer plant. for 16 – 20 permanent living crew/guests
Almost all electric installations new.
All hydraulic systems new.
Main engine opened, serviced and tested with same performance as test protocol when delivered new.
All injectors and pumps new or serviced.
2 Generators opened, serviced and tested. All injector and pump new or serviced.
New Harbour generator added in sound box and special muffler.
Fuel oil separator opened, serviced and tested.
Steering opened, serviced and tested.
Propeller opened and serviced. (shaft was out and serviced the year we bought her).
Hull thickness measured with perfect results.
All tanks opened, cleaned and pressure tested. Water tank with new cement.
Bow thruster added.
Stabilizers added.

Exterior and Deck

Totally repainted in Kaki colour and brown details.
All new canvas in light brown/beige.
New Palfinger Crane on fore deck (550 kg 6 meter Hydraulic with winch)
New Special racks on foredeck with 4 wave runners. (All 4 new)
New gangways (one on each side in aluminium with self levelling steps)
New Canvas over aft deck.
New rattan sofas, easy chairs and teak table on aft deck.
New out door dining table with chairs for 8 – 14 on aft deck.
New speaker on aft deck with sensor for control to stereo in saloon.
New Gas Barbeque on aft deck.
New catamaran rib dingy (5 meter with 90 Hp outboard motor, VHF and depth sounder)
New crane with hydraulic wire winch for dingy on port side on boat deck.
New sofas and easy chars on monkey deck (top of bridge)
New mast with new wiring for all antennas and running lights.
New satellite gyro receiver going to four TV receivers.

Engine room

New Stabilizers (Wesmar Hydraulic) 1.6 m3 on each side for working in slow speed.
New Bow thruster (60 HP hydraulic)
New Harbour generator with extra big muffler. (25 KvA in sound box)
New Hamann sewer plant (with certificate for every port in the world inc. USA)
New sweet water pump system (quiet)
New aluminium floor boards
New boiler
New full engine room alarm with monitors in engine control room, corridor between crew cabins and on bridge. This is connected with everything in engine room including bilge alarm.

Bridge

New electric installations. (top of mast and down to engine room).
New electronics on bridge,
New electric control for steering (2 places) and rebuilt emergency steering.
New autopilot with 2 rudder indicators.
New DGPS with Chart plotter (19” flat screen with computer) and 2 chart systems.
2 Radars (1 with ARPA)
1 DGPS hocked up to radar.
New 2 GMDSS VHF’s.
New VHF
New 3 Handheld GMDSS VHF’s
New Gyro compass.
New NAVTEX weather reporter.
New battery charger and batteries for Radio / navigation back up and emergency lights.
New dept sounder with repeater.
New AIS system
New antennas for all VHF’s and radios
New wind instrument
New engine / stabilizer / generators / bow thruster / instrument panel.
New stereo system for bridge area
New TV monitor with 3 cameras in engine room, 1 aft and 1 on each ships side.
The bridge is rebuilt with new navigation / chart desk, new cabinet for refrigerator and high
observation seat for 3-4 persons. New floor and a lot more

Saloon

New electric installations.
New water installations.
New floor.
New special built furniture with L shaped sofa in leather, cabinet with bar and pop up 46” TV, DVD and surround sound for saloon and aft deck. TV hocked up to Satellite receiver.
New cabinet with refrigerator.
New cabinet with racks for glasses, drawers and wine rack.
New day bath room in same style and wood as saloon.
New dining table with leather chairs for 8 – 14 persons.

Galley

Galley totally rebuilt in solid Birch. New tiled floor with heating, S/S counter tops, S/S plates on walls, new 6 burner S/S stove with extra wide oven and extra strong extract galley fan.
New Micro/Macro/steam oven
2 new S/S refrigerators and 1 S/S freezer.
New crew mess for 3/4 crew.
New Galley Flat screen TV hooked up to satellite receiver.

Crew cabins

Two new double crew cabins, new crew bathroom with shower.

Below deck

Forward is now a kid’s TV / Play room with full bathroom. There are drawings to make it to full with owners cabin with king double bed, closets, desk and sofa.
It is now a kids playroom with new double desk, single bed/sofa, 46” flat screen TV with DVD hooked up to satellite receiver and 5 easy chairs
After that are 5 new cabins, 2 with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, 1 with double bed, 2 with upper and lower bed.
Three new full bathrooms and new laundry.
